About Cierra DoCouto, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Reclaim Your Confidence. Reconnect with Yourself. Heal from Toxic Relationships.

Hi, I'm Cierra DoCouto, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Burlington, Ontario. I specialize in supporting young women and survivors of toxic relationships to heal from emotional abuse, gaslighting, low self-worth, and the lingering effects of trauma.

If you’ve experienced a relationship where you felt small, confused, or constantly walking on eggshells—you are not alone. Whether it was a romantic relationship, a parent, or a toxic friendship, emotional trauma can leave deep wounds. And even after leaving, it’s hard to feel like yourself again.

You might still hear that inner voice saying “maybe it was my fault.” In therapy with me, you don’t have to prove your pain. You are valid, and your healing matters.

My Approach: Gentle, Trauma-Informed, and Rooted in You

At Guiding You Therapy, I create a space where you feel seen, respected, and emotionally safe. I use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, which means therapy moves at your pace, and you’ll never be rushed or judged.

My work is grounded in the belief that you already have the strength and wisdom within you—you just need the right support to reconnect with it.

Together, we’ll work on:

Understanding the Impact of Toxic Relationships

We’ll explore how emotional abuse, gaslighting, or people-pleasing may be affecting your current self-image and relationships—and help you reclaim your truth.

Rebuilding Self-Worth & Confidence

Whether you feel stuck, ashamed, or unsure how to trust yourself again, I’ll help you reconnect with your voice and personal power.

Creating Healthy Boundaries

Boundaries are a form of self-respect. Together, we’ll develop practical ways to say “no” without guilt and protect your energy.

Healing with Self-Compassion

This is not about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about helping you soften toward yourself and create space for healing and growth.
